Once my waiter came around I ordered their fried squid and a side order of rice. Perhaps I was missing an element of the etiquette there. It was quite good! I waited for about twenty minutes for a server, which I thought was really strange. I had never encountered their “dim sum” cart that comes around before when it came to my table I had gotten one of the pork ones. It gave off the feeling of being inside a dive bar. On the alternative side, there was this blaring pop music playing throughout the restaurant during lunchtime. They offered free Jasmine tea initially which really set the mood. I came here wanting to check out a place to eat in Chinatown. Don't be shy to ask what you want or chase carts down. Staff very nice and they work hard to get you what you want. Love the high-quality, inexpensive food here. Expect 15 to 30 minutes looking and parking blocks away. Could grocery shop next door while waiting. To beat the crowds, arrive around 11 am or 2 pm. Menu's have descriptions of what they bring around on carts. If the tea needs a refill, tip the top, and they'll come by to refill for free. We paid a lot for the food and really expected better service. ![]() We merely asked if the dish was coming soon(as we had young children whom were tired and were deciding if we should just takeaway the last dish as we had already finished everything else.) Frankly, we lost our appetite after that shocking exchange. It was totally uncalled for and her remark was offensive to us. She said something like “you think we will eat the duck ourselves? Just have to wait for it, you do not know?” After finishing most of the food which was very average but acceptable to us, we asked if they were going to serve the chopped up Peking Duck and the waitress’ reply was very rude. We were seated promptly and after we ordered we waited just a short while for our food to be served. We went for dinner at 6pm on Monday and it was not crowded at all. Food was okay but the service left a bitter aftertaste. ![]()
