Taking elven accuracy allows you to roll 3 dice when you have advantage on non str/con attacks. Shadow blade with extra attack + a quickened booming blade with smites had some insane damage output especially with critical hits. An Eldritch Knight with an upcasted Shadowblade and all their extra attacks makes for a really strong build.ĭoing this right now actually with shadow sorcerer 14 Paladin 6. The other great user of Shadowblade is the Eldritch Knight. It would play almost like a rogue, relying on one massive attack per turn. You know as I type out this comment I realize that it’s actually not a bad idea as long as you don’t mind using Booming Blade instead of Thirsting Blade and have good enough strength or Dex to make it work. Although since Shadowblade is a light weapon you could dual wield it alongside a pact scimitar or shortsword or something, and have it be the bonus action attack. Although I suppose the scaling of Shadowblade alongside GFB and BB could offer an effective enough alternative to Thirsting Blade, but you still don’t get to use Charisma. It’s a shame because the naturally scaling slots of the Warlock synergies nicely with Shadowblade. Shadowblade is unable to be effected by hex warrior and pact of the blade, meaning you can’t use CHA for it and you can’t make extra attacks. Hexblade is actually one of the worst users of Shadowblade, unfortunately.
